Turtle nesting programs

There are many different turtle nesting programs throughout the world; ranging from the United States, Spain, and even Greece. This is mostly due to the fact that many of our turtle species are in danger of becoming extinct.
There are a few critical nesting habitats throughout the world for many different species of sea turtles. Some of which are the Leatherback, Pacific green, and the Olive Ridley. Most of which can be found throughout the Pacific beaches which are considered prime nesting habitat for these stunning animals.
You may be asking what you can do to help these turtle nesting programs. While there isn’t much that you are able to do; you should keep in mind that there are a few rules to providing help to these nesting programs. Some of which are:

• Never touch or disturb nesting sea turtles or their nests!
• Do not walk on nesting beaches with flashlights.
• No pictures during the night time hours.
• Donate funds to your near-by nesting effort.
• Avoid taking your dogs around nesting areas.
