Sea turtle rescue and conservation

Sea turtle rescue and conservation is an important part to keeping these beautiful animals with us.  Fortunately, there are many rescues and conservation efforts in the works to save the many species of endangered sea turtles. But, why are these animals endangered? How can the average day Joe help in the rescue and conservation of these animals?
First and foremost; everyone should help in the effort to save these sea turtles. Whether it is by donating funds to rescues or by offering their time in helping baby sea turtles make it to their destination. There are many different ways to enlist in helping these animals by searching online.
The major reason that these animals are endangered is due to over-predation of baby sea turtles. Once the mother lays her eggs; she slips back into the ocean to go about her business. However, there are many predators that will take advantage of this situation. Whether it is to snatch the eggs or to eat the babies once they hatch.
In an effort to help these babies, rescue center s have staff which have the job of helping these baby turtles make a successful quest to the ocean.
