Hawksbill sea turtle

A stunning, well known, and beloved form of sea turtle is the hawksbill sea turtle. They are on average a medium sized sea turtle, especially in comparison to some of your large sea turtle Weighing anywhere between one hundred and one hundred and fifty pounds, they grow anywhere from twenty five to thirty five inches long.

The head of the hawksbill sea turtle is extremely long and tapers into a sharp point with a beak-like mouth; hence their name. It is this very mouth that allows this beautiful sea turtle to find sponges to gladly munch on in holes and crevices.

Their shell is often times a deep golden brown with streaks of red, orange, or black. Their shells often times a heart-shape compared to other sea turtles; making them one of the most stunning types of sea turtles around.
